Western Songs

America’s music goes West with its pioneers.  Cowboys and Indians, railroads and gold mines, it’s all in this songbook.  Follow the “Old Chisholm Trail”, see the “Long, Long Trail A-Winding”, hear the lonesome “Cattle Call.”  Marty Robbins tells stories of young cowboys gone wrong in “El Paso” and “The Streets of Laredo.”  The Sons of the Pioneers poke fun at themselves with “I’m An Old Cowhand” and sing of deserts and mirages in “Cool Water.”  Learn about the decidedly non Western roots of “Bury Me Not On the Lone Prairie” and “Buffalo Gals”, and finish up with a sweet “Waltz Across Texas.”
