The Seekers

Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger, and Bruce Woodley were four Australians who in 1962 formed the group “The Seekers” for a wonderfully successful foray into the folk and pop music fields, at one concert singing to 200,000 of their compatriots.  They had hits like “Georgy Girl”, “I Know I’ll Never Find Another You”, and “Red Rubber Ball.”  Their repertoire varied widely, from the sweet lullaby, “Morningtown Ride”, to the gospel tones of “Open Up Them Pearly Gates” and the prophetic “Turn, Turn, Turn.”  Seekers fans have been delighted by a recent reunion of the four singers from down under.  A fun set of memories from the sixties.
